Hi Everyone!

So far, we spent the summer at the shop experimenting with new flavor combinations, improving our signature ones, and developing an iPhone app!

This first version includes a store location finder, yeti tracker, Flav O Matic dynamic flavor menu, and a quick feedback form to let us know how were doing.

Craving a pint of Lake Effect, but not sure where to go? Our Location Finder will automatically detect your location, suggest the 4 closest stores, and then provide you with hours, a phone number, and turn-by-turn directions.

*Track the Yeti*
The Lake Effect Yeti is a mythological creature indigenous to the Western New York region. When awaken, the first 20 people to find his whereabouts will be awarded with a surprise giveaway. The frozen furball could be handing out anything from free merchandise to pints of exclusive experimental flavors. Catch him if you can!

About Lake Effect Ice Cream

Lake Effect is an artisan ice cream company that specializes in unique, high-quality, handcrafted flavors. Were owned and operated in historic Lockport, NY by Jason Wulf and Erik Bernardi, two high school teachers. Jason teaches art, Erik teaches science, and since 2008 theyve brought us the best of the art and science of ice cream.

We are proud to use local, homegrown ingredients in our ice cream and we make every effort to support the local economy. Our ice cream is a Pride of New York product.

The ice cream is classified as a super premium because it uses 14% butterfat and less air. Less air means MORE ice cream. Each micro batch is produced in small quantities (6 quarts) and hand packed for quality assurance and freshness. Many of our flavors are gluten-free, kosher, and vegetarian friendly, but please inquire if you have a concern.
